You don't need any Javascript, CSS or HTML Knowledge for APEX

Peter Raganitsch

You just started with Oracle APEX and now you've heard all the experts this conference talking about Javascript, CSS, HTML? Don't be afraid, you don't need any of those to be a successful APEX Developer.

Oracle APEX is still a low code RAD tool with lots and lots of declarative settings. All your business logic is implemented in SQL and PL/SQL, so you should be fine. So better think twice (and listen to this presentation) before copying any JS code from the internet, without understanding the maintenance hell you are about to open up. Let me show you how far you can get with standard APEX know how, and how you can avoid to sprinkle JS/HTML/CSS code everywhere. This session is meant to show what can be achieved without any knowledge of Javascript/CSS/HTML, and is meant to reassure everyone of the low entry barrier of APEX.
